JambolayaPrivacy Policy

Jambolaya is run by the Jambolaya team. This policy covers the website jambolaya.games and the browser edition of the game hosted on it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
The short version
We do not ask you to create an account, we do not ask for your name, and we do not run a server that stores anything about you. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you. The one third party that collects data about you personally is Google, through the advertising on this site.
What we store
Nothing on our servers. The game runs entirely inside your browser. Your settings, language, progress and saved games are written to your own browser's local storage on your own device. They never leave it, we cannot read them, and clearing your browser data deletes them permanently.
The feedback form
The form on the home page does not submit anything to us over the network. It assembles a message and hands it to your own email application, which you then send yourself. Nothing is stored on this site at any point. If you do email us at jambolaya.games@gmail.com, we keep that message so we can reply to you and act on it, and we do not use your address for anything else.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. To do that, Google and its partners may:
- set or read cookies and similar identifiers in your browser;
- use those identifiers, plus your approximate location, device and prior visits to this and other sites, to choose which ads to show you and to measure them.
Google's use of advertising cookies is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can turn off personalised advertising at any time at Google Ads Settings, and you can opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google presents a consent message before serving personalised ads, and your choice there is respected on this site.
Visitor statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)
To know how many people visit and which links bring them here, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. A small script on our pages reports, in aggregate: the page viewed, the site that linked to it, your country, your type of browser, operating system and device, and how quickly the page loaded. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, does not fingerprint you, and does not track you across sites. We only ever see totals, never individual visitors, and nothing about what you do inside the game. Cloudflare describes it in its Web Analytics overview and its privacy policy.
Separately, our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard server request logs (including IP addresses) for security and abuse prevention, as any web host does.
Children
Jambolaya's games are suitable for all ages and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age. This website is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, write to us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Because we hold no account data, there is normally nothing for us to export or erase. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, ask and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
